VisaBot is independent of VFS Global, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and UDI; the Norwegian authorities alone decide on a Norway visa.
For a Norway visa, UK residents first complete the application in the online portal of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI), then book an appointment with VFS Global in London or Edinburgh. VisaBot watches your centre's Norway calendar: Notifications alerts you to a date, and AutoBooking books it in your name. The Royal Norwegian Embassy in London decides short-stay visas, referring some cases to UDI.

Signed up with VisaBot after I couldn’t book an appointment at vfs London. Took VisaBot just over a week. Fantastic service 👍

Norway takes two online steps from the UK: UDI's portal for the form and fee, then the VFS Global appointment, where VisaBot works.
VisaBot watches your VFS calendar
The bot checks the Norway calendar at VFS Global London or Edinburgh in your category, so you don't have to.
Notifications: alert, then you book
VisaBot sends a push or email alert when a Norway date appears, and you book it yourself on the VFS Global site.
AutoBooking: booked in your names
The bot books a date that fits your group and date interval through the official VFS Global system.
Two payments on VFS routes
Each applicant's prepayment pays the centre's booking fee; the rest of the AutoBooking price is due once a Norway date is booked.
VisaBot books released VFS Global dates; it cannot create Norway appointments or shorten the embassy's decision.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in London takes no applications in person or by post, so UK applicants book a VFS Global centre.
Joint Visa Application Centre, 66 Wilson Street, London EC2A 2BT. Passport, printed UDI form and documents are handed in here, with biometrics where needed.
Joint Visa Application Centre, 1 Rennie's Isle, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6QT. Same Norway process as London; VFS Global notes there is no car parking.
The embassy accepts either centre, and VisaBot covers both: choose one you can reach for the appointment and the passport, or pay for courier return.
Your subscription follows the category and centre you pick, and VFS Global turns away documents booked under the wrong one.
Tourist VisaFamily And Friend VisitBusiness VisaCultural/Educational VisitLong Stay Visa - Residence PermitFinish UDI's form first
VFS Global's steps start in UDI's portal, and the centre wants the printed form at the appointment.
Choose London or Edinburgh
You set the centre when you subscribe: choose one you can attend, then collect the passport there or pay for courier return.
Leave room in the interval
AutoBooking's optional date interval adds to the price; end it at least 15 days before departure, ideally four weeks or more.
Plan the weeks without a passport
For Schengen visas the embassy normally keeps the passport until it decides; VFS Global advises applying later if you need it within three weeks.
Add every traveller
VFS Global needs a separate appointment for each person. One AutoBooking covers up to seven applicants in London and five in Edinburgh.
Codes and the 48-hour balance
VFS Global's one-time codes reach VisaBot's system email; ask support before logging in yourself. Unpaid balances cancel the booking 48 hours after the payment link.
VisaBot cannot predict new Norway dates at VFS Global: releases follow no known pattern and may not come daily, so the first alert can take a few days. A June 2026 notice on VFS Global's Norway site, tied to the embassy's renovation, said full demand for appointments could not be met.
Narrow intervals and large groups leave fewer dates that fit, a common reason AutoBooking has not booked yet.
An appointment is not yet a visa. The embassy normally decides within 15 calendar days of receiving the application in London, counted until the courier collects the passport, so the transfer from VFS Global adds days; cases referred to UDI can take up to 45 days.

Comprehensive route coverage across major countries and for most visa types.

Global presence across 50+ locations, making visa booking convenient anywhere.

Trusted payment processing with full encryption and buyer protection.

Dedicated customer service ready to help with any visa appointment questions.
Svalbard lies outside the Schengen area, so a trip there, like any mid-trip exit from Schengen, needs a visa with two or more entries.
The visa fee is paid in UDI's portal and the VFS Global fee at booking; the official pages list both amounts. Family members of EU/EEA citizens pay no visa fee, and cruise travellers from the UK can walk in at VFS Global.
VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 14986978.
Book the centre you can reach twice. The embassy accepts applications at VFS Global London or Edinburgh, and the passport returns to the centre where you applied unless you pay for courier delivery. VisaBot runs Notifications and AutoBooking for Norway in both cities.
VFS Global says you will not be able to hand in your documents. Book by purpose, for example Tourist Visa for holidays, Family And Friend Visit with a host's invitation, or the residence permit category with UDI's cover letter. Before a booking, VisaBot support can switch your subscription's category.
The embassy considers written, documented requests for strong welfare reasons, such as a death or serious illness in the family, or an important event that cannot be rescheduled; leisure travel does not count, even with tickets booked. Otherwise the way in is the VFS Global calendar, which VisaBot keeps checking.
Up to seven in London and up to five in Edinburgh. VFS Global gives each person their own appointment, and AutoBooking is paid per applicant, as the plan card shows. One Notifications subscription covers the whole application. Larger groups need more free places on one date.
Watching it yourself is free, but VFS Global's contact centre cannot book for you or say when dates will appear, and new dates follow no known pattern. VisaBot keeps checking and alerts you, or books a fitting date in your name on AutoBooking.
Yes. VFS Global's steps start with the application in UDI's portal, where the visa fee is paid, and the centre asks for the printed form at the appointment. VisaBot handles the VFS Global date that follows, not the UDI form.
For a Schengen visa, normally until the decision: up to 15 calendar days after the application reaches the embassy in London, plus courier time, or up to 45 days for cases sent to UDI. VFS Global advises applying later if you need the passport within three weeks. Residence permits follow UDI's own timeline.
Notifications cost from £35 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from £100 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
Pick your destination: each page explains where to apply from the UK and what VisaBot can and cannot do on that route.
