Belgium visa appointment in the UK: London, Edinburgh, Manchester

Belgian authorities decide every Belgian visa; VisaBot is an independent service, not affiliated with TLScontact, the Embassy of Belgium or any government body.
Visa On Web, Belgium’s online application form, is the first step to a Belgian visa appointment in the UK. The “Make an appointment” button on Visa On Web leads to TLScontact, which runs the Belgian visa centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. VisaBot has no Belgium route from the UK, so applicants make this booking themselves. The Embassy of Belgium in London decides each visa, or Belgium’s Immigration Office when a file is referred to it.
VisaBot reviews on Trustpilot
Signed up with VisaBot after I couldn’t book an appointment at vfs London. Took VisaBot just over a week. Fantastic service 👍
Booking Belgium yourself: Visa On Web first, then the TLScontact calendar
- 1
Nothing to buy for Belgium
VisaBot has no Belgium plan in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh or Manchester: no alerts for Belgian dates and no bookings made in your name.
- 2
Visa On Web form comes first
Fill in the Belgian Visa On Web form, adding fellow travellers on the group form, then print the validated form to sign and bring along.
- 3
Make an appointment, then pay
Visa On Web’s “Make an appointment” button opens TLScontact. Pick a date and time and pay the TLScontact service fee online before the deadline; unpaid bookings are cancelled.
- 4
Four weeks visible, new dates daily
According to the embassy, TLScontact’s calendar runs four weeks ahead, each day adds appointments for the date seven days out, and those slots are taken fast.
- 5
Where VisaBot does help
From its five UK cities VisaBot serves 22 Schengen destinations through VFS Global or BLS International centres, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain among them.
Switching to a country VisaBot covers is no shortcut: when Belgium is the main destination of the trip, the application belongs with Belgium.
TLScontact centres for Belgium: Wandsworth, Manchester, Edinburgh
The Embassy of Belgium sends UK visa applicants to TLScontact; its own building on Grosvenor Crescent books appointments for eID cards, Kids-ID and passports.
18 Ryeland Boulevard (Ram Quarter), Wandsworth, London SW18 1UN. Short-stay files accepted here are passed to the Embassy of Belgium the next working day.
1 Portland Street, Manchester M1 3BE. The centre handles Belgian short-stay and long-stay applications by appointment made through Visa On Web.
Argyle House, 3 Lady Lawson Street, Edinburgh EH3 9DR. The centre spares applicants in Scotland a trip south; passports return here after the decision.
Any of the three centres is open to UK applicants, so choose by travel time and the dates on offer; the authority that decides stays the same.
How far ahead to book, and how long Belgium takes to decide
A TLScontact slot starts the Belgian process; the visa decision is a separate wait.
The embassy describes a calendar that shows four weeks of appointments and fills quickly, with a fresh day of slots released every day. Booking several weeks before travel is its advice, and it says it cannot find anyone an earlier slot.
Lodge at least 15 calendar days before departure and no more than six months ahead. Files accepted in London travel to the embassy the next working day, and the embassy’s target is a decision within 10 working days of receipt, often sooner for a complete file.
Allow up to 85 calendar days when more documents are requested, when the applicant lives outside the UK, for holders of UK refugee or stateless travel documents and for nationalities needing Immigration Office clearance, such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Morocco. The passport stays at the embassy meanwhile, barring a temporary withdrawal through TLScontact.
Expedited appointments are rare and discretionary: the embassy can offer one in an urgent, unforeseeable case such as a medical emergency, judged on documents sent by email. Tourist trips do not qualify, and neither do school or university trips arranged at the last minute.

Belgian visa basics to settle before choosing a slot
- Main destination
- Belgium must be where you spend the longest time, or the first country visited when stays are equal; otherwise apply to the other country.
- Who applies from the UK
- Non-British nationals who need a Schengen visa and live in the UK, with a UK residence permit valid a month beyond their Schengen exit.
- Form and booking
- Visa On Web form, then a TLScontact appointment; the embassy’s online appointments are for eID cards, Kids-ID and passports, not visas.
- Fees
- TLScontact service fee online when booking, visa fee when lodging the file; the official pages list current amounts.
- Who decides
- The Embassy of Belgium in London, or Belgium’s Immigration Office for files it must refer; TLScontact plays no part in decisions.
- EU family members
- Non-EU relatives covered by Directive 2004/38 may lodge free of charge at the consulate after requesting an appointment by email.
British citizens travel to Belgium visa-free for short stays of up to 90 days in a 180-day window. A residence card from the UK’s EU Settlement Scheme does not exempt a non-EU family member from the visa.
The embassy answers visa questions in writing, not by phone, and sends appointment and document queries to TLScontact.
Belgium and VisaBot: what is out of scope
- VisaBot sends no Belgium date alerts and makes no Belgian bookings, whichever UK city you apply from.
- VisaBot does not fill in Visa On Web forms, check supporting documents or follow a Belgian file through the embassy or the Immigration Office.
- VisaBot does not sell, hold or pass on appointments for any country; TLScontact’s London page carries a fraud alert about appointment booking.
- VisaBot cannot influence or speed up a decision by the Embassy of Belgium or the Immigration Office.
Operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD (England and Wales, company number 14986978), VisaBot has no affiliation with TLScontact, the Embassy of Belgium, VFS Global, BLS International or any government body.
Belgium appointment questions from UK residents
Does VisaBot track Belgium visa appointments in the UK?
No. Belgium is absent from VisaBot’s destinations in London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester, so there is no Belgium plan to buy and the appointment is booked on Visa On Web and TLScontact. VisaBot’s FAQ says not every country can be added straight away, and the app lists the current destinations for each UK city.
Which TLScontact centre should I use for a Belgium visa: London, Manchester or Edinburgh?
Whichever you can reach on the date you book. The embassy lists TLScontact in London (Wandsworth), Manchester and Edinburgh. The Visa On Web and TLScontact steps are identical at all three, and every file is decided by the Embassy of Belgium in London or, after referral, by the Immigration Office.
What can I do if TLScontact shows no Belgium visa appointments?
Look again every day. The embassy says its TLScontact calendar spans four weeks, with new appointments added each day for the date a week ahead, and that they go fast. The embassy cannot find earlier slots for applicants and keeps its few expedited appointments for real emergencies, such as medical ones, documented by email.
Which visa type do I pick for a short trip to Belgium?
The short-stay Schengen visa (type C) for the trip’s main purpose, such as a private visit to family or friends, or business and conferences. TLScontact asks applicants to choose the type matching their purpose, because the document checklist depends on it. Longer stays need a long-stay D visa; the embassy steers regular cross-border workers to it as well.
Can I book Belgium visa appointments for my whole family at once?
Visa On Web has a group option for this: you add the people travelling with you and submit a group form before booking at TLScontact. Every traveller still needs a full file, and under-18s add papers such as a birth certificate. VisaBot has no Belgium subscription; on its other UK routes, one Notifications subscription covers all travellers in an application.
How long does a Belgian visa take after the TLScontact appointment?
The embassy targets a decision within 10 working days of receiving the file, which TLScontact sends on the next working day after a London appointment; complete files often move faster. Extra document requests, non-UK residents and nationalities needing Immigration Office clearance can take up to 85 calendar days, so apply early in the six-month window.
What is the difference between VisaBot and checking TLScontact for Belgium myself?
For Belgium, checking TLScontact yourself is the way to find a date, because VisaBot does not cover the route. On VisaBot’s UK destinations, the bot scans the visa centre’s calendar around the clock and sends a push notification when a date appears, so nobody has to keep refreshing the page.
Should I pay someone who promises a faster Belgium visa appointment?
Be cautious. The Embassy of Belgium says it does not work with external agencies and that appointments are free of charge, and TLScontact’s London page carries a fraud alert about appointment booking. The fee TLScontact takes online to confirm a slot is its own service fee. VisaBot does not sell or hold appointments.
