Greece visa appointment in the UK: London, Manchester, Edinburgh

VisaBot is not affiliated with GVCW, VFS Global, BLS International, TLScontact or the Embassy of Greece, and the decision on a Greek visa rests with the consulate alone.
Greece visa appointments in the UK are booked online with Global Visa Center World (GVCW), which runs the Greek visa application centres in London, Manchester and Edinburgh. VisaBot does not cover Greece, so there are no VisaBot alerts or bookings here: you book in your own GVCW account. The Consular Office of the Embassy of Greece in London decides every application.
VisaBot reviews on Trustpilot
Signed up with VisaBot after I couldnโt book an appointment at vfs London. Took VisaBot just over a week. Fantastic service ๐
Greece is not a VisaBot route: how the GVCW booking works instead
VisaBot's UK service covers centres run by VFS Global and BLS International, not GVCW, so a Greece booking happens on the GVCW website.
- 1
No Greece alerts or bookings
VisaBot has no Greece route from any of its five UK cities: no date alerts, no booking in your name, nothing to buy.
- 2
Open a GVCW account
Create an account on GVCW's UK website, confirm your email address and select the centre that matches your residence address.
- 3
Book and confirm the slot
Pick a date, add every applicant who needs a visa and pay GVCW's service fee online by card to confirm the slot, then print the confirmation.
- 4
Attend with every applicant
Each applicant, children included, must attend the appointment in person, and both parents normally come to a child's appointment.
- 5
When another country is the main stop
If your actual itinerary makes Italy, Croatia or another country VisaBot covers the main destination, you apply there, and VisaBot can track that centre.
There is no VisaBot product for Greece from the UK. GVCW and the Greek consulate handle Greek applications from booking to decision.
Three GVCW centres take Greek visa appointments in the UK
Applications are submitted in person and by appointment, and GVCW asks you to use the centre for your residence address.
66 Wilson Street, London EC2A 2BT. Takes applications by appointment and is the one GVCW centre where passports can be collected in person.
50 Devonshire Street North, Manchester M12 6JH. Takes applications by appointment; passports come back by courier, and processing takes five days longer.
1 Rennie's Isle, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 6QT. Takes applications by appointment; files travel via London first, so allow five extra days and a courier return.
GVCW asks applicants to pick a centre near their residence address, so people in Birmingham, Cardiff or Belfast choose the nearest one when creating the account.
Picking the purpose of travel on the GVCW booking site
GVCW lists 13 purposes of travel for UK applicants, including these; its staff cannot pick one for you.
Tourism- Holidays with Greece as the trip's main destination.
Visiting Family or Friends- Staying with relatives or friends in Greece.
Business- Meetings or company visits; GVCW suggests a letter from the inviting Greek company.
Family members of EU, EEA or CH citizens- Family of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen travelling with them or joining them in Greece.
Study or professional training- Short courses or training in Greece of up to 90 days.
Long term, National D Visa- Stays over 90 days; the Greek Consulate in London interviews applicants in person.
- Using the EU family member route when travelling alone: the Greek Embassy then treats you as an ordinary applicant.
- Forgetting the apostille: a marriage not registered in Greece or the EU citizen's home country needs an apostilled certificate for the Greek Consulate in London.
The GVCW slot and the consulate's decision run on separate clocks
GVCW accepts a Greek Schengen application up to six months before travel and no later than 15 calendar days before it. GVCW does not guarantee a slot before your travel date and asks anyone struggling to find one to contact it at least three weeks before departure.
Appointments can run out for a whole month: GVCW says the Greek consular authorities in London set the monthly number of appointments, so the centre cannot add dates, and it posts fully booked months and extra appointments in its news section.
After submission, the consulate normally decides within 15 calendar days, extendable to 30 or 60 days. GVCW puts the minimum processing time at three weeks for nationalities that need prior consultation with other Schengen states.

Where VisaBot stops on a Greece application
- VisaBot does not send Greece appointment alerts or make GVCW bookings, from any UK city.
- VisaBot does not sell or hold appointments: on the routes it covers, every booking is made in the applicant's name at the official centre.
- VisaBot does not check documents, fill in application forms or manage visa applications for any country.
- VisaBot does not influence the Greek consulate's decision and cannot make it faster.
VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, registered in England and Wales, company number 14986978, and is not affiliated with GVCW, VFS Global, BLS International, TLScontact, the Embassy of Greece or any government body.
Greek visa appointments in the UK, answered
How do I book a Greece visa appointment in the UK?
Book it online with GVCW, which runs the Greek visa centres in the UK. Create a GVCW account, choose the centre for your residence address, pick a date and pay GVCW's service fee by card to confirm the slot. Bring the printed confirmation and your documents to the centre.
Which Greek visa centre should I book: London, Manchester or Edinburgh?
Book the centre for your residence address. London is the one centre where passports can be collected in person; Manchester and Edinburgh return them by courier, with five extra days of processing. Applicants in Wales, Northern Ireland or the Midlands, where GVCW has no centre, pick the nearest one.
Does the Greek Embassy in London book visa appointments?
Not for ordinary applicants. The Consular Office of the Embassy of Greece in London has outsourced visa applications and fingerprinting to GVCW, which takes the bookings. Diplomatic, service and public affairs passport holders can use the embassy's visa section, and eligible family members of EU, EEA or Swiss citizens may apply directly at the consulate.
What can I do if no Greece visa appointments are available in the UK?
Call GVCW on +44 203 7938 626, as GVCW advises applicants who cannot find an appointment. The Greek consular authorities in London set the monthly number of appointments, so GVCW cannot add dates, but it posts newly added appointments in its news section. Book early, and cancel any slot you no longer need.
Which purpose of travel should I choose for a Greece visa appointment?
Match it to the main reason for the trip, because GVCW staff are not permitted to choose it for you. Holidays go under Tourism, stays with relatives under Visiting Family or Friends, meetings under Business. The EU, EEA or Swiss family member category fits people travelling with that citizen or joining them in Greece.
Can VisaBot alert me or book a Greece appointment for my family?
No. VisaBot does not cover Greece from the UK, so it cannot send alerts or place bookings for one person or a family. At GVCW, each family member needs a separate application and attends in person, children included, and the booking asks for every applicant who needs a visa.
How is VisaBot different from refreshing the GVCW website myself?
For Greece there is nothing to compare: VisaBot does not cover GVCW, so you check and book on the GVCW website yourself. On the 22 UK destinations VisaBot does cover, the bot constantly scans the VFS Global and BLS International calendars so you do not have to refresh them.
Do UK residents without a British passport need a visa for Greece?
Whether you need one depends on nationality. The Greek Embassy in London says nationals of visa-required countries need a Schengen visa for Greece even with a UK residence permit, as do holders of UK refugee travel documents. British citizens can visit Greece visa-free for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
