VisaBot is independent: it is not part of VFS Global or the Portuguese diplomatic service, and the Embassy of Portugal in Abu Dhabi alone decides on each visa.
On the Portugal route from the UAE, VisaBot works with Notifications: the bot watches the VFS Global calendar in Dubai or Abu Dhabi for your category, alerts you when a new Portugal date appears, and you book it in your own VFS account. VFS Global takes the applications at both centres, and the Embassy of Portugal in Abu Dhabi decides on the visa.

Only with the help of the Bot I was able to book an appointment and apply for a visa in Abu Dhabi! Very useful tool with frequent updates if you don't have time to log in and check for a new slot every half an hour!

VisaBot does not make Portugal bookings from the UAE: the bot watches, and once a date shows up at VFS Global, the next move is yours.
Pick a centre and a category
Choose Dubai or Abu Dhabi and the Portugal category as the VFS Global portal lists it, such as Tourism, Business or E6.
The bot checks the calendar
VisaBot keeps scanning the VFS Global calendar for that centre and category, so nobody has to refresh the page.
A new date, a push alert
When a Portugal date appears, the VisaBot app on iOS or Android sends a push notification; email alerts are an option.
You confirm it at VFS
Log in to VFS Global, pass the facial verification required for Portugal and confirm the appointment in your own name.
A date gone by the time you log in does not end the search: the subscription runs for 30 days and the bot keeps looking.
Both Portugal visa application centres in the UAE are run by VFS Global and take Schengen and national visa applications from people legally residing in the UAE.
Wafi Mall, First Floor, Phase 5- Horus, Umm Hurrair 2, Dubai. Applicants attend in person for biometrics; VisaBot also follows the Transit category here.
Level B2 (Lower Ground), The Mall, World Trade Centre, Khalifa Bin Zayed The 1st Street, Abu Dhabi. Applications are lodged in person, with biometrics.
VFS Global points applicants to the nearest Portugal centre. A VisaBot subscription follows one centre; if you can reach both cities, a second subscription watches the other calendar.
VisaBot follows one category at one centre, so an alert concerns that calendar alone. Two of the six category names mean the same short tourist trip.
TouristTourismBusinessTransitE6National Visa (Category D/E) Long TermAn alert helps when you can book at once, so prepare before the bot finds a date.
One centre, one category
Each subscription follows one centre and one category; to watch both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, add a second subscription.
Everyone on one subscription
One Notifications subscription covers every traveller in your application.
A working VFS account
Sign in to VFS Global for Portugal before subscribing: after a portal upgrade, accounts with no appointment may need to sign up again.
Mobile number verified
VFS may ask older accounts to verify a mobile number at the next login; clear that step before an alert.
Passport and camera at hand
Every Portugal booking at VFS in the UAE needs online facial verification with a camera and your passport.
Timed to your trip
A subscription runs for 30 days and does not renew itself; Portugal takes applications from six months to 15 days before travel.
VFS Global releases Portugal dates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi without a published schedule, and VisaBot cannot predict them. Dates do not appear every day, so a first alert can take several days, depending on centre and category.
VFS Global posts notices about its Portugal centres in the UAE, such as limited operations or booking portal changes, on its Portugal news page. Read them before you subscribe: an alert cannot help while the centre is not taking new applications.
An appointment date is not a visa. VFS Global states that the Embassy of Portugal needs at least 15 calendar days for a Schengen application and at least 90 days for a national visa; EU rules allow up to 45 days in complex Schengen cases.

Comprehensive route coverage across major countries and for most visa types.

Global presence across 50+ locations, making visa booking convenient anywhere.

Trusted payment processing with full encryption and buyer protection.

Dedicated customer service ready to help with any visa appointment questions.
Family members of EU, EEA and Swiss citizens covered by free movement rules pay neither the visa fee nor the VFS service fee, according to VFS Global.
Holders of a renewed UAE residence visa without a passport sticker add a copy of the online residence document and of their Emirates ID.
VisaBot is an independent service operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, registered in England and Wales under Companies House number 14986978.
Either centre works: VFS Global takes Portugal applications in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from people legally residing in the UAE and suggests the nearest one. VisaBot lists Transit for Dubai, not Abu Dhabi. If you can reach both cities, two VisaBot subscriptions put both calendars under watch.
Choose Tourism at the Dubai centre or Tourist at Abu Dhabi: both stand for a short Schengen trip of up to 90 days. Business covers meetings and events, E6 covers study or unpaid internships of three months to a year, and longer plans go under National Visa (Category D/E) Long Term.
Either VFS Global has not released new Portugal dates or the centre has posted a limited-operations notice, so check the news on its Portugal page for the UAE first. If applications are accepted, a VisaBot subscription watches the calendar and alerts you to new dates; the first alert can take several days.
No. One Notifications subscription covers all travellers in the same application, so a family watching one Portugal centre and category needs a single subscription. When the alert arrives, you book for everyone in your VFS Global account. A second centre or category needs its own subscription.
Checking by hand means logging in again and again and catching a date by luck. VisaBot constantly scans the VFS Global Portugal calendar for your centre and category and sends a push alert as soon as a new date appears. You still confirm the date yourself in your VFS account.
No. On the Portugal route from the UAE, VisaBot works with Notifications: the bot finds new dates and alerts you, and you make the booking in your own VFS Global account, with your passport and a camera ready for facial verification. The appointment is in your name, through the official centre.
Notifications cost from 200AED a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it.
Pick the centre and the Portugal category, add everyone travelling and start 30-day alerts on the website or in the iOS and Android app.
