Norway visa appointment in Türkiye: VFS Global in four cities

A traveller smiling at a phone in the city

VisaBot works independently of VFS Global and the Royal Norwegian Embassy, does not resell or hold appointments, and the decision on a Norway visa rests with Norwegian authorities.

A Norway visa appointment in Türkiye starts with the online application in the portal of UDI, the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, and ends at a VFS Global centre in Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul or Izmir, while the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ankara decides on the visa. VisaBot watches the VFS Norway calendar for your city and category, alerts you to a new date and, with AutoBooking, books it in the applicants' names.

Catching a Norway date at VFS Global in Türkiye: your part and the bot's

Norway paperwork starts in UDI's online portal; VisaBot's job is the VFS Global date.

  1. 1

    UDI application and visa fee

Complete the online application and pay the visa fee in UDI's portal.

  2. 2

    One centre, one category

Pick Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul Beyoglu or Izmir and your trip's category; the subscription follows that pair.

  3. 3

    Constant calendar checks

VisaBot scans the VFS Norway calendar for your city and category constantly.

  4. 4

    Push alert or booked date

Notifications send a push alert and you book yourself; AutoBooking books a matching date in each applicant's name.

VisaBot cannot make VFS Global release more Norway dates; the centre visit with passport and documents stays with you.

Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul or Izmir: picking your Norway centre

VFS Global takes Norway visa and residence applications in four cities and forwards the files to the embassy in Ankara.

Ankara — VFS Global

Regnum Sky Tower, No: 57/A Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Caddesi, İşçi Blokları, Çankaya, Ankara. The deciding embassy is in the same city.

Antalya — VFS Global

Doğu Garajı AVM, No: 75 Cebesoy Caddesi, Çaybaşı, Muratpaşa, Antalya. VisaBot lists the same nine Norway categories here as in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir.

Istanbul (Beyoğlu) — VFS Global

No: 29 A Kurtuluş Deresi Caddesi, Hacıahmet, Beyoğlu, Istanbul. VisaBot lists it as Istanbul Beyoglu; AutoBooking takes up to five applicants here.

Izmir — VFS Global

Ege Perla AVM, first floor, No: 8 Ozan Abay Caddesi, Çınarlı, Konak, Izmir. AutoBooking takes up to ten applicants, as in Ankara and Antalya.

Choose the centre you can reach easily: the passport is handed in there and returns there after the decision, unless you pay for courier delivery.

Nine Norway categories: short visits, residence permits and the D-visa

VFS Global sorts Norway bookings into short-term C visas, residence permits and the D-visa; VisaBot watches the category you pick.

Tourism
Holidays with Norway as the main destination; up to 90 days in any 180 across Schengen.
Business Purposes
Business trips; applicants from firms in the Norwegian–Türkiye Business Express Program are normally processed faster.
Visiting Family and Friends (girlfriend/boyfriend, fiancee or spouse)
Short visits to a partner, fiancé(e) or spouse in Norway.
Visiting Family and Friends (others)
Short visits to other relatives or friends in Norway.
Study, Cultural and Sports
Short study visits, cultural events and sports events.
Family Member of EU/EEA National
Relatives who travel with or join an EU or EEA citizen, subject to conditions.
Study, Work And Other Permits
Residence permits for study, work and other stays over 90 days.
Family Immigration
Residence permits to live in Norway with family there.
Entry Visa for waiting for a decision in a Residence Case
The D-visa, for travel before a pending family or study permit is decided.
  • Booking a partner visit under the others line: partners and spouses have their own category.
  • Choosing a short-stay category for a job or a degree: stays over 90 days need a residence permit.

Getting a Norway subscription right before the first date appears

  1. 1

    UDI application finished

Submit the application and fee in UDI's portal first: VFS Global books Norway dates against its reference number.

  2. 2

    Every applicant, full details

Add each traveller with complete passport details; AutoBooking takes up to ten per subscription in Ankara, Antalya and Izmir, five in Istanbul Beyoglu.

  3. 3

A date window you can keep

Set the dates you can really attend: the bot books inside that window and cannot exchange a booked date later.

  4. 4

    Login codes

The VFS login code goes to an inbox run by VisaBot and stays valid for 3–5 minutes, so tell support before you sign in to VFS yourself.

How long a Norway date takes, and when the embassy's clock starts

VFS Global releases Norway dates without a known pattern and not every day, so the first alert can take several days. A subscription lasts 30 days and does not renew itself.

The time to an appointment is not the time to a visa. The embassy in Ankara normally decides within 15 calendar days of receiving a file, or up to 45 when UDI handles it.

Apply up to six months ahead and, as a rule, at least 15 days before departure; the embassy recommends four weeks and warns that heavy application volumes can slow processing.

What the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ankara expects from applicants in Türkiye

Main destination
Norway must be the main destination for an application at VFS Global in Türkiye.
Eligible applicants
Turkish citizens and legal residents; people with no nationality or residence in the embassy's region must prove legal stay and justify applying.
Sequence
UDI application and fee, then the VFS Global appointment, then the visit with the signed form.
What you pay
Visa fee in UDI's portal plus a VFS Global service fee paid to confirm the slot; amounts are on official pages.
Fingerprints
Collected at the centre unless you gave them in the past 59 months.
Decision
The Visa Section of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ankara; some cases go to UDI.

Family members joining or accompanying an EU or EEA citizen who lives in or travels to a state other than their own may qualify for a free, accelerated procedure and can apply at the embassy by appointment as well as at VFS Global.

What stays outside VisaBot on a Norway application

  • VisaBot does not fill in the UDI application, check your documents or follow your file after the appointment.
  • VisaBot does not resell or hold Norway appointments; each booking is in the applicant's own name at VFS Global.
  • VisaBot has no say in the embassy's decision, cannot shorten its processing and does not guarantee a Norway date or a visa.

VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD (England and Wales, company no. 14986978) and is not affiliated with VFS Global, UDI, the Royal Norwegian Embassy or any other authority.

Norway appointments at VFS Global in Türkiye: common questions

Where can I book a Norway visa appointment in Istanbul or elsewhere in Turkey?

Book with VFS Global, which takes Norway applications in Ankara, Antalya, Istanbul (Beyoğlu) and Izmir. Finish the online application and fee in UDI's portal first, because VFS Global asks for its reference number. Choose the centre you can reach easily, since the passport is handed in and collected there.

Which VFS category do I choose for a Norway visit visa from Turkey?

Choose Tourism for a holiday and Business Purposes for a business trip. Visits to a girlfriend, boyfriend, fiancé(e) or spouse have their own Visiting Family and Friends line; other relatives and friends go under Visiting Family and Friends (others). VisaBot support can change the category of a subscription.

How do I get a Norway visa appointment at VFS in Turkey when no slots are free?

Subscribe for your city and category: VisaBot keeps checking the VFS Norway calendar, then alerts you or, with AutoBooking, books the date. New dates appear without a known pattern and not every day, so the first alert may take several days. A wider date window gives AutoBooking more options.

How many applicants fit in one Norway AutoBooking subscription in Turkey?

One Norway AutoBooking subscription takes up to ten applicants in Ankara, Antalya and Izmir and up to five in Istanbul Beyoglu, each paid for separately. Add everyone travelling together, since the bot needs a date with places for all. One Notifications subscription also covers every applicant.

How does VisaBot differ from refreshing the VFS Norway page myself?

VisaBot checks the VFS Norway calendar constantly, alerts you to a matching date and, with AutoBooking, books it in your name, so you need not refresh the page. You can also book directly with VFS Global; the documents and centre visit stay with you either way.

Can an expat on a Turkish residence permit (ikamet) apply for a Norway visa in Turkey?

Yes. Foreign nationals legally resident in Türkiye apply at VFS Global like Turkish citizens, using the embassy's checklist for third-country nationals. Foreigners who are neither nationals nor residents of any country the embassy covers must document their legal stay and justify applying in Ankara.

How long from the VFS appointment to a Norway visa decision in Ankara?

The embassy in Ankara normally decides within 15 calendar days of receiving the file, or up to 45 days if UDI handles the case. Allow four more days for transport between VFS Global and the embassy, both ways, weekends excluded. The embassy says individual applications cannot be expedited because of travel plans.

How much does VisaBot cost for a Norway appointment in Turkey?

Notifications cost from ₺1000 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from ₺3200 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
