Austria visa appointment in Pakistan: Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore

Download on the App StoreGet it on Google Play
A traveller smiling at a phone in the city

VisaBot is an independent tool, unconnected to VFS Global or the Austrian Embassy; the embassy, not VisaBot or VFS, grants or refuses each Austria visa.

In Pakistan, appointments for an Austria Schengen visa or document legalisation are made online through VFS Global, which runs centres in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. VisaBot keeps checking the VFS calendar for your city and category, then alerts you or, with AutoBooking, books the date in the applicants’ names. The Austrian Embassy in Islamabad decides every Austria visa applied for in Pakistan.

How a new Austria slot becomes an alert or a booking

  1. 1

    Choose centre and category

Each subscription is set up for a VFS Global centre in Islamabad, Karachi or Lahore and a category: Visa C, Visa D or Austria - Legalization.

  2. 2

    Checks around the clock

The bot rechecks the chosen calendar day and night and sees new Austria dates in real time.

  3. 3

    Notifications: you book it

A push alert, or email if you prefer, says a date has opened, and you book it yourself on the VFS Global website.

  4. 4

    AutoBooking: the bot books it

The bot books in the applicants’ names, up to five people, within any date range you set; the VFS booking step needs no photo, selfie or face scan.

No bot can add Austria slots: VisaBot works with the dates VFS Global releases and gets no priority over people booking by hand.

Islamabad, Karachi or Lahore: which Austria centre to book

The Austrian Embassy in Islamabad has handed visa intake and passport return to VFS Global; legalisation papers go to the same centres.

Islamabad — VFS Global

Park Road, Chattha Bakhtawar, Chak Shahzad, Islamabad. Takes Visa C files, Visa D for approved residence permits and papers for legalisation.

Karachi — VFS Global

Bahria Complex IV, 4th Floor, Main Chaudhary Khaliq UZ Zaman Road, Gizri, Clifton, Karachi. Books the same Austria categories as Islamabad and Lahore.

Lahore — VFS Global

8 A Queen’s Road, opposite the CCPO Office, Lahore, where the Austria centre moved in June 2026; the old address is no longer valid.

Check the address on the VFS Global site before the visit, since centres move. Austria’s honorary consuls in Karachi and Lahore deal with neither visas nor legalisation.

Visa C, Visa D or legalisation: which Austria calendar is yours

VisaBot follows the category you pick, not Austria as a whole, so a wrong pick brings alerts you cannot use.

Visa C
Short Schengen stays of up to 90 days in any 180: holidays, business trips and visits to family or friends.
Visa D
The national visa for collecting an approved Austrian residence permit; the embassy contacts approved applicants, and VFS asks for proof.
Austria - Legalization
Not a visa: the Austrian Embassy verifies and legalises Pakistani documents, up to six per appointment.
  • Choosing Visa D for study, job seeking or a Red-White-Red Card, all arranged with the embassy by email.
  • Bringing papers to a legalisation appointment without the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stamp on the original, which the embassy requires.
  • Taking an open Austria date when another Schengen country is the main destination of the trip.

Austria subscription settings that make or break a booking

  1. 1

    Centre and category

Choose the VFS centre you can attend in person and one of the three Austria categories; support can switch a wrong category.

  2. 2

A date range that ends in time

A range is optional and adds to the prepayment; for a visa, end it at least 15 days before departure, as the embassy rejects files lodged later.

  3. 3

    All travellers on one plan

Notifications covers a whole application in one subscription; AutoBooking takes up to five applicants and charges for each.

  4. 4

    Passport details as printed

Copy each name, passport number and date of birth from the passport itself; missing or wrong details pause the booking.

  5. 5

    Prepay now, settle after booking

AutoBooking takes a prepayment per applicant at sign-up and the balance within 48 hours of booking; an unpaid date is cancelled, and that subscription books no other.

  6. 6

    Codes go to VisaBot

VFS one-time codes reach VisaBot’s system email; if you sign in to VFS yourself, support gives you the code, valid 3–5 minutes.

What decides how soon an Austria date turns up

How many Austria dates appear, and when, is the embassy’s call; VFS Global gives them out first come, first served, on no pattern anyone can predict.

Austria slots can go days without a release, so a first alert or booking may take several days. AutoBooking skips dates outside your range or short of places for the group, so a wider range helps.

After the appointment, legalisation is slow: the embassy says verifying Pakistani documents may take three months or longer, with no status updates and no fast track.

A booked visa appointment is not a decision. The embassy says an admissible Schengen application should take no more than 15 calendar days, or up to 45 with further checks, and asks travellers to apply early.

Austria’s ground rules for applicants living in Pakistan

Main destination
Austria should be your sole or main destination; without one, the Schengen state you enter first handles the application.
Applying from Pakistan
Anyone legally resident in Pakistan, Pakistani or foreign, since a visa is applied for in the country of legal residence.
How to book
VFS Global online for Visa C, legalisation and Visa D to collect an approved permit; Red-White-Red Cards, student permits and other D visas by email.
Application timing
No earlier than six months and no later than 15 days before departure; files lodged later are rejected.
Fees
Paid in cash in Pakistani rupees at the centre, at a rate the embassy sets monthly; amounts are on the official pages.
Visa decision
The Austrian Embassy in Islamabad examines every file individually; VFS Global has no say in the outcome.

Family members of EEA or Swiss citizens with free-movement rights fall under special provisions, including a Schengen visa fee exemption.

What VisaBot leaves to you and the Austrian Embassy

  • VisaBot cannot reach appointments the embassy arranges by email: Red-White-Red Cards, student permits and D visas other than for approved permits.
  • VisaBot has no tie to VFS Global or the Austrian Embassy and offers no Austria appointment outside the VFS calendar.
  • VisaBot neither resells nor holds back Austria dates: every booking goes through VFS Global in the applicant’s own name.
  • VisaBot does not check documents, fill in forms or legalise papers, and cannot sway or speed up the embassy.

VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, Companies House number 14986978.

Straight answers on Austria dates at VFS Pakistan

Is it better to book Austria in Islamabad, Karachi or Lahore?

Book the centre you can reach in person on the appointment day. All three VFS Global centres offer the same Austria categories: Visa C, Visa D and Austria - Legalization. VisaBot books the city set in your subscription, so a family in Lahore gains nothing from a Karachi date it cannot attend.

Which Austria category fits a tourist or family visit from Pakistan?

Pick Visa C: it covers short Schengen stays of up to 90 days in any 180 for holidays, business trips and visits to relatives or friends, without paid work. Visa D is for collecting an approved residence permit, and Austria - Legalization is for documents, not travel.

What can I do when VFS Pakistan shows no Austria appointments for weeks?

Keep a search running instead of refreshing by hand: Austria dates appear on no known schedule, and a VisaBot subscription checks for its full 30 days. Emailing the embassy does not unlock Visa C or legalisation slots, and another Schengen country is no option when Austria is your main destination.

Can the Austrian Embassy in Islamabad give me an appointment by email?

Not for a Schengen visa or legalisation: both are booked through VFS Global, and the embassy cannot process emails asking for legalisation slots. National D visas, Red-White-Red Cards and student permits go by email; after a residence permit is approved, the embassy contacts the applicant. The embassy also warns about a fake phone number and misleading appointment offers.

How many people can share one VisaBot subscription for Austria?

Up to five applicants can share one AutoBooking subscription for Austria, each paid for separately, and the bot waits for a date with places for the whole group. A Notifications subscription covers all travellers on one application, so a family needs a single plan for alerts.

Why pay for VisaBot when booking at VFS Global is free?

VisaBot charges for constant watching and, with AutoBooking, the booking step, not for the appointment itself. VFS Global adds no scheduling charge, though visa and service fees are paid at the centre. Refreshing by hand catches a date when you happen to be online; the bot watches all the time, with no priority or hidden slots.

Can VisaBot book an Austria legalisation appointment?

Yes. Austria - Legalization is covered in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore, with Notifications and AutoBooking. The embassy arranges legalisation appointments solely through VFS Global, does not answer individual requests and tells applicants to keep checking for new slots. Each appointment takes up to six documents.

How much is VisaBot for an Austria VFS date in Pakistan?

Notifications cost from Rs 5,500 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from Rs 17,000 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
