Switzerland visa appointment in India: VFS Mumbai, New Delhi

A traveller smiling at a phone in the city

VisaBot is independent of VFS Global and the Embassy of Switzerland, and the decision on your visa rests with the embassy, not with VisaBot or VFS.

From India, a Switzerland visa appointment is booked with VFS Global, and the Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi decides every application, whichever Indian city you submit in. VisaBot covers this route in 15 cities: Notifications alerts you when VFS releases a Swiss date, and AutoBooking books it in your name.

I took the automatic booking service, within a month I got my appointment booked and it saved me from a lot of stress. Would definitely recommend this service if someone is struggling to get their Schengen visa appointments in VFS.

What VisaBot does on the India to Switzerland route

  1. 1

    One centre, one Swiss category

A subscription follows one VFS Global centre and one category, such as Tourist in Pune.

  2. 2

    VisaBot keeps checking the calendar

VisaBot scans the VFS calendar for your centre constantly and catches new dates after days of empty pages.

  3. 3

    Notifications: you book it

A push alert, with e-mail as an option, tells you a Swiss date is open; you book it on VFS.

  4. 4

    AutoBooking: the bot books it

The bot books a date that fits your range and group, in the applicants' names, through VFS Global.

  5. 5

    Two-stage payment on VFS

A prepayment per applicant covers the centre's booking fee; the rest is due after the booking.

VisaBot handles the appointment; documents, biometrics and the visa decision stay with you and the embassy.

The Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi handles every Indian state and counts processing from submission at any VFS centre in India, so your city decides travel and categories, not who examines the file.

Six checks before VisaBot watches a Swiss date for you

  1. 1

Confirm you can apply from India

Applicants must have legally lived and worked in India for at least six months.

  2. 2

    Match city and category

Pick the centre you will attend and its label for your purpose; support can switch it later.

  3. 3

    Set a realistic date range

VFS accepts applications up to 180 days before departure; leave time for the embassy's decision.

  4. 4

    Add every traveller now

Up to five applicants on most categories; Students, Family Reunion Visa and Other in New Delhi take one.

  5. 5

    Copy passport details exactly

Names and numbers must match each passport, or VFS may block submission.

  6. 6

Keep support close for the OTP

The VFS code reaches VisaBot's mailbox. Signing in yourself? Ask support first; it lives 3 to 5 minutes.

What decides when a Swiss date reaches you

VFS Global releases Swiss dates on no published schedule, and VisaBot cannot predict the next release. Dates are not released daily, so the first alert can take several days.

A narrow date range or a party of five leaves fewer dates that fit, and AutoBooking skips dates that do not match.

The appointment is the first clock; the embassy's decision is the second. The Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi generally decides within 15 days, longer in individual cases, and advises applying early but not more than six months before entry.

If AutoBooking books a date you cannot use, you can leave it unpaid, but the bot will not swap it; a new date needs a new subscription. For a medical emergency, ask the embassy about its fast-track procedure.

Where VisaBot's part ends on a Swiss application

  • VisaBot does not decide visas and cannot influence the Embassy of Switzerland.
  • VisaBot does not fill in the application form, check documents or attend the VFS centre for you.
  • VisaBot does not hold or resell VFS appointments; every booking is in the applicants' names through VFS Global.
  • VisaBot cannot make VFS release Swiss dates sooner.

VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, company number 14986978, incorporated in England and Wales. VisaBot is not affiliated with VFS Global, BLS International, TLScontact, any embassy or consulate.

Switzerland appointments from India: what people ask first

Which VFS centre should I book for a Switzerland visa from India?

Book the VFS Global centre you can reach on the appointment day. The Embassy of Switzerland in New Delhi examines applications from every Indian state, submitted at any VFS centre in India. Check that your centre lists your category: Mumbai has no stamping categories.

Which category should I choose for a Swiss tourist or family visit?

Choose Tourist for holidays and sightseeing; every city VisaBot covers lists it. For relatives or friends, pick Visitor or Visiting Family and Friends, whichever name your centre uses. If a code such as ODMV or DG is unclear, ask VFS before booking it.

What can I do when VFS shows no Switzerland appointments?

Keep the calendar watched instead of refreshing it by hand. VFS releases Swiss dates without a published schedule, so an empty calendar says little about tomorrow. Notifications alerts you when a date appears; AutoBooking can book a date from that release for you.

How many people can one VisaBot subscription cover on this route?

One Notifications subscription covers everyone on the application. AutoBooking takes up to five applicants on most Swiss categories and looks for a date that fits all of them; Students, Family Reunion Visa and Other in New Delhi take one applicant each.

How is VisaBot different from refreshing the VFS Switzerland site myself?

Refreshing helps while you watch the screen, but Swiss dates can appear and go at any hour. VisaBot checks your centre and category constantly and reacts the moment a date is released; with AutoBooking, the bot also books it in your name.

How much does VisaBot cost for a Switzerland appointment from India?

Notifications cost from โ‚น1999 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from โ‚น5499 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
