Spain’s BLS categories in India: the label shifts by centre
A VisaBot alert follows one category at one centre, and long-stay labels differ from centre to centre.
Tourist Visa- Holidays and private visits of up to 90 days, Spain as main destination.
Business Visa- Meetings or contract signing; the visa does not allow working in Spain.

From BLS alert to Spanish decision: what sets the pace
BLS publishes no release schedule for Spain dates, and VisaBot cannot know in advance when new ones will appear. Dates are not released every day, so the first alert can take several days.
The pace of alerts depends on your centre, your category and how many applicants must fit into the same date.
An appointment is not a visa. After submission, the legal decision period is 15 calendar days from the next day, extendable to 45 if the mission asks for an interview or more documents.

Which BLS centre should I use for a Spain visa from India?
Use a BLS centre in the consular district of the state you have lived in for six months. Delhi NCR, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal belong to the Embassy of Spain in New Delhi; Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana to the Consulate General in Mumbai. BLS refuses wrong-district files.
Which Spain visa category should I choose at BLS?
Choose the category matching your purpose and length of stay, in the wording your centre uses. Tourist Visa and Business Visa cover short trips of up to 90 days. Long-stay names vary: Bengaluru shows Student Visa, New Delhi shows Study and Internship Visa. BLS staff are not allowed to recommend a category.
What can I do when BLS shows no Spain appointments?
Keep watching a centre in your own district rather than one that will refuse your file. BLS releases Spain dates on no published schedule, so nobody knows when the next ones appear. A VisaBot alert lets you react without reloading the portal all day; you then book the date yourself, free, on the BLS website.
Can one Spain alert cover my whole family?
Yes. One Notifications subscription covers everyone in the same application, so a family travelling together needs one subscription, not one each.
