VisaBot works independently of VFS Global and the Embassy of Hungary and has no say in visa decisions, which rest with the Hungarian authorities.
A Hungary visa appointment from Ireland is booked with VFS Global for its Dublin centre on Francis Street: the Embassy of Hungary no longer takes visa applications directly, and VFS has handled them since November 2024. VisaBot, independent of both, watches that calendar in the category you choose: Notifications tells you when a date appears, and AutoBooking books it in each applicant's name. The Hungarian authorities decide on the visa.

Signed up with VisaBot after I couldn’t book an appointment at vfs London. Took VisaBot just over a week. Fantastic service 👍

Pick Dublin and one of three categories
Choose Schengen Visa, EEA/EU and Swiss family members, or Family members of Hungarian Nationals; VisaBot then checks the VFS Dublin calendar for it around the clock.
Notifications: you book it yourself
A push alert in the app, or an e-mail, says a Hungary date has appeared; you then take it on the VFS website yourself.
AutoBooking: one date for the group
The bot books a date for up to five applicants in their own names, inside your date range if you set one.
You bring the file to Dublin
On the booked date you hand in the application at the Dublin centre; per VFS, the Embassy of Hungary receives it on the next working Friday.
VisaBot cannot make VFS release more Hungary dates or shorten the processing time, which VFS puts at a minimum of 20 working days.
The Embassy of Hungary in Dublin no longer takes visa applications directly: since November 2024 VFS Global Ireland has handled them, and the appointment is booked on the VFS website.
Visa Application Centre, Cunningham House, 130 Francis Street, Dublin D08 H48R: Hungary applications are handed in here in person on the booked date, and passports are collected here.
VisaBot follows the VFS Dublin calendar of the category you set.
Schengen VisaEEA/EU and Swiss family membersFamily members of Hungarian NationalsEnd the range 20 working days out
If you add the optional AutoBooking date range, which costs extra, end it at least 20 working days before travel: VFS says later Hungary files may be inadmissible.
Time-limited papers come after the date
VFS wants documents under a month old; for Schengen Visa, the employer letter within 30 days of the appointment and the bank balance within 5 days.
Date first, flights second
VFS advises booking the Hungary appointment before travel reservations; a return or onward booking is still needed at the hand-in.
Prepayment, then the balance
On VFS routes, VisaBot takes AutoBooking payment in two parts: a prepayment per applicant at sign-up, covering the centre's booking fee, then the balance once a date is booked.
VFS codes reach VisaBot, not you
With AutoBooking, VFS codes go to VisaBot's system inbox: tell support before you next sign in to VFS, and the code stays valid 3 to 5 minutes after the attempt.
A booked date cannot be swapped
The bot will not move a Hungary date once it is booked, so a date that stops suiting you means starting a new subscription.
VisaBot cannot say when VFS Dublin will add Hungary dates: releases follow no known pattern, so a first alert can take several days. VFS warns that appointments go very quickly around Easter, in July and August and at Christmas, because the Embassy of Hungary processes a fixed number of applications each day. AutoBooking passes over a date outside your range or without room for every applicant.
An appointment is not a visa. According to VFS, files handed in at Dublin reach the Embassy on the next working Friday, and the minimum processing time of 20 working days begins then; the VFS checklist for EU family members names 15 days. The Embassy may also request more documents or an interview, which adds time.
VFS asks that a missing document reach the centre within 3 working days, and an incomplete file can mean rebooking the appointment.

VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, company number 14986978, registered in England and Wales, independently of VFS Global, TLScontact, BLS International and the Hungarian authorities.
At the VFS Global centre in Dublin, the one Hungary centre VFS lists for Ireland. The Embassy of Hungary in Dublin no longer takes visa applications directly and VFS Global Ireland has handled them since November 2024, so files go to Cunningham House, 130 Francis Street, after an appointment booked on the VFS website. In VisaBot, set Dublin as the city.
Book Schengen Visa unless a family rule applies to you. Family members of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen who is not Hungarian, travelling with or joining that citizen, choose EEA/EU and Swiss family members; VFS lists a visa-fee waiver for EEA families. Family members of a Hungarian citizen choose Family members of Hungarian Nationals and, since January 2019, follow the general procedure and pay the full visa fee.
Have the VFS Dublin Hungary calendar watched in your category and start early. New dates appear without a known pattern, so Notifications alerts you when one shows up, while AutoBooking tries to book a date inside your range. VFS wants Hungary files at least 20 working days before travel, and dates go fastest around Easter, in July and August and at Christmas.
Up to five applicants with AutoBooking, which books one Dublin date for the whole group and charges per applicant; a single Notifications subscription covers every traveller. Each adult signs their own paper form at the centre, and a parent or legal guardian signs for a child.
A bot suits anyone who cannot keep the VFS page open all day: VisaBot scans the Dublin calendar around the clock, and Hungary dates go quickly in busy months. Checking by hand can work if you watch constantly. VisaBot books through the same official VFS system and holds no dates in reserve.
As early as your plans allow, within six months of the trip. VFS accepts Hungary applications up to six months ahead and wants them at least 20 working days before travel; the Embassy recommends 30 days. With papers limited to a month old at the appointment, secure the date first, then order any time-limited letters and statements to match it.
Notifications cost from €35 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from €100 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
Pick your destination: each page explains where to apply from Ireland and what VisaBot can and cannot do on that route.
