VisaBot works independently of VFS Global and the Austrian Embassy in Dublin; every Austria visa decision is made by the Embassy, not by VisaBot or VFS.
The Austrian Embassy in Dublin has handed visa intake to VFS Global, so an Austria Schengen appointment from Ireland is booked online and attended at the VFS centre in Cunningham House, Dublin 8. VisaBot follows that calendar in All Visas, Business and EU EEA FAMILY MEMBER, sending an alert when a date opens or, with AutoBooking, securing it in the applicants’ names. The Embassy decides on the visa.

Signed up with VisaBot after I couldn’t book an appointment at vfs London. Took VisaBot just over a week. Fantastic service 👍

Dublin and one category
Set Dublin and the Austria category for your trip, and VisaBot keeps checking that VFS Global calendar for new dates.
Notifications: an alert, then you book
VisaBot sends a push alert, or an email, when an Austria date appears in your category; you then book it on the VFS website yourself.
AutoBooking: the bot books it
The bot books a date for each applicant, up to five, in their own names; this route needs no passport photo, selfie or face check.
Date range: Business and EU family
Business and EU EEA FAMILY MEMBER let AutoBooking keep to a date range, for an extra charge; All Visas has none, so the bot books a date with room for every applicant.
In person at Cunningham House
Each applicant, children included, hands in a typed, signed form and documents; VFS forwards the file to the Austrian Embassy.
VisaBot cannot add Austria dates to the VFS calendar or speed up the Embassy’s decision.
The VFS Global centre that takes Austria files also accepts Switzerland, Slovenia and Liechtenstein applications, as the Austrian Embassy in Dublin notes.
Austria Visa Application Centre, Cunningham House, 130 Francis Street, Dublin 8, D08 H48R: the form, documents and, unless taken in the last 59 months, fingerprints are lodged here.
Each subscription tracks one Austria category from VisaBot’s booking list, and the purpose of your trip decides which.
All VisasBusinessEU EEA FAMILY MEMBERTyped form, printed and signed
VFS Dublin refuses hand-filled Austria forms, so type, print and sign one for every traveller before a date is caught.
IRP valid three months past exit
Each Irish Residence Permit (IRP) must run at least three months beyond your exit from Schengen; holders of an Irish visit visa apply where they live.
Range end, with time to spare
In Business or EU EEA FAMILY MEMBER, end the range well before departure: the Embassy takes files until 15 calendar days ahead, and decisions take time.
Two payments on a VFS route
AutoBooking takes a prepayment per applicant at sign-up, covering the VFS booking fee, and the rest after booking; amounts are in the tariff card.
VFS releases Austria dates in Dublin without a pattern VisaBot can predict, so the first alert can take several days. On a popular category AutoBooking usually needs one to two weeks, and a group can wait longer, since the bot needs a place for every applicant. VFS Global says paid extras such as Prime Time Appointment do not create separate appointments.
Booking the date is the start of the visa process, not the end. The Austrian Embassy accepts applications from six months up to 15 calendar days before the trip and says a decision should take up to 15 calendar days, or up to 45 if further checks are needed; VFS quotes three to four weeks on average.
VFS posts centre closures on its Austria news page, so check it before fixing travel dates.

Comprehensive route coverage across major countries and for most visa types.

Global presence across 50+ locations, making visa booking convenient anywhere.

Trusted payment processing with full encryption and buyer protection.

Dedicated customer service ready to help with any visa appointment questions.
VFS asks for travel medical insurance bought in Ireland, covering the whole Schengen stay with at least €30,000, plus winter sports cover from November to April.
VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD, company number 14986978, England and Wales, and is not affiliated with VFS Global, TLScontact, BLS International or the Austrian authorities.
VFS Global’s Austria Visa Application Centre at Cunningham House, 130 Francis Street, Dublin 8, where you attend after booking online. The Austrian Embassy in Dublin has outsourced visa intake to VFS but still assesses every file. VisaBot lists Dublin as the Austria city for Ireland, so Dublin is the city to set in a subscription.
All Visas covers holidays and visits to family or friends. Pick Business when you hold an original invitation from a company in Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia or Liechtenstein, or a business declaration. EU EEA FAMILY MEMBER is for the spouse, registered partner, child or parent of a minor child of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen who travels with them.
Empty days are normal: VFS releases Austria dates in Dublin without a predictable pattern, and some days bring none. VisaBot Notifications alerts you when a date appears, and AutoBooking books one that fits your group and, in Business or EU EEA FAMILY MEMBER, your date range. Start early, as the Embassy takes applications no later than 15 calendar days before travel.
Yes. One Notifications subscription covers everyone in the application, and AutoBooking books Dublin dates for up to five applicants, each paid for separately. VFS gives every family member, children included, their own appointment and an in-person hand-in, so a larger group can wait longer for a booking than one traveller.
You do not have to: the Austrian Embassy states that visa appointments are free, and anyone can book on the VFS website, paying the VFS service fee and any visa fee due. VisaBot is optional, for people who cannot keep refreshing that calendar: the bot checks VFS Dublin, alerts you to new dates or, with AutoBooking, books one in your name. Prices are in the tariff card.
Yes, in most cases. The Austrian Embassy in Dublin also processes Switzerland and Slovenia visas with the same form, and the VFS centre takes Liechtenstein files; some Swiss categories, such as residence for work or study and certain passports, go to London. VisaBot lists this route as Austria, so contact support before subscribing for another main destination.
Possibly not. VFS says family members of EU, EEA or Swiss citizens whose Irish residence permit carries the EU family stamp need no visa for Austria when travelling with or joining them. Otherwise, book EU EEA FAMILY MEMBER for a joint trip, with fewer documents and no visa fee, or All Visas when travelling alone. Confirm the exemption with the Embassy before you travel.
Notifications cost from €35 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from €100 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
Pick your destination: each page explains where to apply from Ireland and what VisaBot can and cannot do on that route.
