VisaBot is independent of VFS Global, the Embassy of Portugal and Portuguese consulates; the decision on your visa belongs to the consular authorities.
In most US states, a Portugal visa appointment is booked online with VFS Global, which runs Portugal centers in Washington DC, New York, Chicago, Houston, Miami and San Francisco. VisaBot watches those calendars for your city and category: Notifications alerts you to a new date, AutoBooking books it in your name. The Embassy of Portugal or its consulate decides on the visa.

Relax while VisaBot monitors visa centre website for new appointments
Enjoy your fast and stress-free appointment
After months of trying unsuccessfully to get an appointment with the VFS office in Houston, to get a Visa to Portugal, we engaged VisaBot. … They very quickly got us an appointment during the time we needed.
Get instant email or push notifications when new appointments open up or get a slot auto-booked for you.

Both plans work for every category VFS lists in each of the six cities.
The bot watches your VFS center
VisaBot scans the VFS calendar for your center and category constantly; nobody has to keep refreshing the page.
Notifications send you the date
A push alert in the app, plus email if you add it, reports a matching date; you book it on the VFS site yourself.
AutoBooking takes the date for you
The bot books a matching date in the applicants’ names, within any date range you set, for up to five people.
VisaBot works with the dates VFS Global releases: it cannot add slots, bypass jurisdiction or speed up the consulate.
Book the center for the district where you live; VFS may deny out-of-district applications. All six VFS centers take Schengen and national visas.

Residents of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware go to the Portuguese consulate in Newark; Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont to Boston or New Bedford; Rhode Island to Providence, not to VFS.
A subscription follows one category at one center, so match it to your visa: VFS staff do not recommend visa types.

Match your state to the Washington DC, New York or San Francisco list; consulate states cannot use VFS or VisaBot.
Pick a center you can reach
The Washington DC district may book Washington DC, Chicago, Houston or Miami; pick one you can reach quickly.
Use the exact category
Choose the category your center lists for your visa; VisaBot support can switch a wrong one later.
Set dates you can keep
AutoBooking can be limited to a date range on every Portugal route; leave time to travel to the center.
Add every applicant
AutoBooking takes up to five applicants, with details exactly as in their passports; one Notifications subscription covers the group.
Plan the two payments
AutoBooking on VFS is paid per applicant in two steps: a prepayment at signup, then the balance within 48 hours of a booking, or the appointment is cancelled.
How fast a Portugal date appears depends on the center, the category, the season, the number of applicants and your date range. New dates do not come out every day, so the first alert can take several days.
Time to an appointment is not time to a visa. VFS states at least three weeks for a Schengen decision, depending on nationality; national visas have legal deadlines of 30 days for temporary stay and 60 for residency. The Embassy of Portugal suggests applying two months ahead or more, and Schengen applications can go in up to six months before travel.
If a booked date stops suiting you, the bot cannot swap it; a different date needs a new subscription.

Comprehensive route coverage across major countries and for most visa types.

Global presence across 50+ locations, making visa booking convenient anywhere.

Trusted payment processing with full encryption and buyer protection.

Dedicated customer service ready to help with any visa appointment questions.
Schengen visas cover up to 90 days in any 180. National visas are temporary stay, under a year, or residency, valid four months while you apply to AIMA in Portugal for a residence permit. Non-EU family members of EU citizens and national visa students can also use weekly walk-in sessions at some VFS centers.
VisaBot is operated by TREVOR PHILIPS LTD (England and Wales, company number 14986978, 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU) and is not affiliated with VFS Global or the Portuguese authorities.
The one assigned to your state. The Washington DC district, DC plus 26 states such as Texas, Florida and Illinois, books Washington DC, Chicago, Houston or Miami; New York serves New York, Connecticut and Michigan; San Francisco serves California and the West. New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New England use consulates, which VisaBot does not track.
A national visa category, since Short Stay Visa (Schengen Visa) covers trips of up to 90 days. In Chicago and Washington DC a D7 fits All Other Types of Visas (E or D), the national category there outside work, study and sport. New York lists Long Stay; Houston, Miami and San Francisco list both.
Keep a subscription running. VisaBot checks your center and category for the full 30 days and reacts as soon as VFS adds dates: Notifications alerts you, AutoBooking tries to book. New dates do not appear every day, and no service can create a date VFS has not released.
Yes. One Notifications subscription covers everyone on the application, and AutoBooking takes up to five applicants, each paid for separately. For national visas, VFS in Washington DC, Houston, Miami and San Francisco books a family under one appointment for the main applicant, so ask support how to list them.
A Portugal date can vanish between two manual checks. VisaBot watches your center and category around the clock and alerts you, or books in the applicants’ names with AutoBooking, while you work. The bot sees the same public VFS calendar as everyone: no back door, no slots kept in reserve.
Yes, if your passport needs a Schengen visa; a green card does not replace it. Legal, habitual US residents apply at the VFS center or consulate for their state. US passport holders visit Portugal visa-free for up to 90 days; B1/B2 visitors apply from their country of residence.
Notifications cost from $45 a month, and one subscription covers every applicant on it. AutoBooking costs from $150 per applicant; the final amount depends on the visa centre's fee.
Choose Notifications if you can book within minutes, AutoBooking if the bot should take the date. Each subscription runs 30 days and does not auto-renew.
